The first railroad was made by George Stephenson in 1828. It was the best way of travel. Now to make just the railroad is no easy task. It took about 6 years and that is just building it. You also have to landscape it. Like if there is a mountain you would have to use TNT and blow it up, so you could go through it. All of this took about 35 years and money was another problem. It took about 425 billion dollars. One of those reasons is because you would have to employ over 1000 people. But it was worth it because it also helped move large amounts of metals. In addition, wood, food, brick, steel, and more. You could carry with one train 5-10 tons. The longest railroad had a span of 136 miles. It was finished in October 1833. The train could go up to 60 /h.
The light bulb was made in 1879 by Thomas Edison. It was a life changing event because the old oil lamps used alot of oil and did not give off alot of light. Also the oil lamps were not safe. Kids could burn themselves, but the worst thing is when your curtains or hair would get caught and could burn all your hair. Also, they could catch fire and burn the whole house down. So with these new lights there are benefits. They are cheaper for you and the world, safer for your house, and for your kids and pets. They are easier to use and you can just turn it one and off whenever you want with a flick of a switch. This invention changed life forever. I mean if you need to look around the house in the dark, what is the first thing you do? You turn on a light.
The battery was made in 1800. It was thought to be invented by Benjamin Franklin, but it was proven in the end that Alessandro Volta made it. The battery was an event that changed the world forever. Now you can store your charge and use it whenever you want. It opened the chance to make phones, PCs, TVs, and more. Battery had the most power in a small size. They have a positive and a negative side and when you use them you have to put them in the right spot. Otherwise, it will not work no matter how much charge you have. The battery will no work without being connected to the circuit and the ion charge moves back and forth. This is what makes the battery work. On almost everything you use it will tell where to put the battery so you don't have any trouble.
