This post is about the Incas a civilization that resided on Mount Machupijchu, in Peru. also known as the lost city, that was abandoned in the 15-16th century thought to be because of the Spanish invasions however interestingly enough the Spanish never even found it!

Since the city was never found it was left in near perfect condition and undisturbed, in a location filled with rich resources.

The Incas had an abundance of gold and granite that they used for building, they used the granite to make the buildings and walls with blocks that fit so well together it did not need any mortar, and they used the gold to worship the sun god called Inti. They made sacrifices of Humans or animals to the Sun God, including Lamas, guinea-pigs, and sometimes up to two hundred children were immolated (Sacrificed).

The Incas fled from Machupijchu and went South to Vilcabamba, which can be visited today but only after a dangerous hike will you reach the well kept city.
